Sitting on Stacey are causing a buzz in their local scene of San Diego and their back with a brand new cut called ‘California’. To describe the track just Imagine if Rage Against The Machine had a baby with Nirvana, this would probably be their newly born child. If you are new to the band this a funny introduction to the band, the single is lifted from their new album “Perfectly Sane”.
Back to California in 2013, the band was formed, merging the alternative rock with surf ska vibes. The band consists of original members Hoyt Yeatman on the lead vocals and guitar, Kyle Hart on the bass and vocals the new addition Leland Schenck on drums. Performing at several venues in the San Diego, Ventura County, and Los Angeles, including some respectful ones like Kaaboo Del Mar, The House of Blues, The Vortex in downtown and The Mint LA to name a few, they have created a strong local engagement with their concerts and have become known for a loyal rabid fan following and thigh-energy performances.
The band released their debut EP entitled Goat Soup under a different name, including rough mixes and demos, then the name changed to Sitting on Stacy. After the reinvention, they released an album titled “Obsessed”, an EP “Mel’s Neck of the Woods” and singles like “Oh Baby” and “High On Life”. “Perfectly Sane” their newest album was just released on August 19th, 2019.
Fast forward to now, they are promoting the first promotional single “California” you can feel a very energetic vibe across the song with the message about being fed up and annoyed, although you can easily switch up your mood enjoying the California waves.
