Shantonio aka Indigo is an upcoming artist representing the city of Darien, GA, releasing his debut single called “Summer Baby”, which has been a fun summer filled song, concerned about all the lockdown going on the rapper decided to make a track that is perfect for the summer after the Coronavirus isolation ends.

The track is meant to be explicit as well as fun for the adult crowd, it is bringing a new wave of music, Shantonio inspiration behind the song is to encourage people to be themselves, taking risks while manifesting the life you want, and most importantly have fun.

Please explain what your name means?
Shantonio to me means different but different in a good way. My personality and name are one and the same. I’m different just like my name is.

What city and state are you representing?
I lived in a lot of places but I’ll be wrong if I didn’t rep Darien, GA. Darien is a home I’ll always be grateful for. It made me who I am today. And plus I want the world to know icons do come from small towns.

Describe your style of singing or rapping?
I make mood music. I rap in a way to spark or change your mood. I don’t consider myself a lyricist, but don’t be fooled, I can be if I want to be.

Who inspired you to pursue a music career?
My older brother had a lot to do with my inspiration to follow my dreams to become the biggest music mogul/icon/legend.

What challenges did you face as a youth in pursuit of your music dream?
My biggest downfall was looking for love in all the wrong places when love was already what I had. I was just pushing it away.

Describe your feelings when you’re recording music in the studio?
I feel like a kid again and I love feeling like a kid because it’s fun. Now that I’m grown, I get to use adult words in my music and not get in trouble.

What is the message behind your music?
Be you and f*** whoever got anything negative to say. If I can make you can make it too.

What do you fear the most in this business?
I released all my fear on 02/11/2020 and gave it to God. I don’t fear… I face them.
