Hailing from Los Angeles, California; The Jamóns are a longtime rock band, dropping their newest track called ‘Jennifer Lawrence of Arabia’. The powerhouse group is influenced by indie rock, ska, punk, power pop, new wave, and are once again coming back to the Hollywood scene with the release of one album and three EPs under their belts.
Back to the 90s, when the Jamóns started as a teenage ska-punk rock band, they formed as a group of friends compounded by Brandt Shandera on guitar, and vocals, Kennedy on bass, and vocals, Nicholas Romero on drums, and Chris Glaab on saxophone, and keyboards. Since then the band performed a ton of gigs, having the opportunity to share the stage with other memorable bands, including the like of The Hippos, Reel Big Fish, and The Aquabats just to new a few.
Always delivering great energy to the table, the California band are officially back after a seventeen-year hiatus, in this time, Kennedy, the bassist started a solo project called, Kennedy Karate, consecutively producing major artists in the music industry along with Børns and Grizfolk. In 2018 they reunited for a mini-tour, successively in 2019 the band began to work on new songs with Kennedy, as audio engineer and producer.
Now in full force releasing new songs, which includes the single ‘Jennifer Lawrence of Arabia’, combining fun and bold sound while blending their masterful instrumentation among playful lyrics that it could only be from California.
